The Arches Fish Market
This project challenges the orientation of the arches and what is assumed to be front and back. The West-side (assumed back) is a very peaceful space in contrast to East (assumed front) where there is a great deal of noise pollution. This leads the design to be primarily built on the West along with the access to sunlight, connection to the history of the site and the opportunities to circulate from Ferryhill and the lower level of the private housing.
